About Merced Faculty Associates Medical Group, Incorporated

Founded in 1989, Merced Faculty Associates Medical Group, Incorporated (MFA) has grown to include over 40 healthcare providers across 15 locations. We are proud to be affiliated with the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, and many of our physicians are faculty members who teach resident physicians in the Family Practice Residency Program at Mercy Medical Center Merced. Today, MFA has 12 partner physicians and a dedicated team of full-time and part-time physicians, mid-level providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants), medical assistants, receptionists, medical billers, and administrative staff.

Over the years, MFA has expanded by understanding and meeting the needs of our local and surrounding communities. Our reputation is built on a tradition of high-quality medical care and active involvement in educating the next generation of physicians. By maintaining these high standards and responding to the needs of our patients and residents, we continue to grow and enhance the services we provide.

Leadership & Organization

MFA is governed by a Board of Directors and managed by a Management Committee. The Board includes all physician partners, with the CEO serving as an ex-officio member. The Management Committee, which oversees daily operations, consists of selected MFA shareholders, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), and Chief Clinical Officer (CCO).

Managers and supervisors oversee various departments and report to the CCO, CAO, and CEO, who are accountable to the Management Committee and Board of Directors. This structure ensures clarity of responsibility and effective management across all levels of the organization. MFA reserves the right to modify its organizational structure as needed to meet evolving goals and priorities.
